We get about 2 to 3 snows a year around the Charlotte, NC and Lake Norman areas. When we do it is a holiday for most everyone!! Some times the “northerners” give us a hard time because ALL the bread and milk is gone the day before a snow and nearly EVERYTHING shuts down for snow day. (Picture below is our friend John the bread guy. He LOVES snow) The biggest reason this occurs is because the state just doesn’t have the equipment to deal with lots of snow and ice since it only happens a few times a year. The good news is, typically it warms up nicely and is gone in just a few days. Just enough snow and then gone, in our opinion.
