I had my first sales job when I was 14 years old. My job was working for the local Rescue Squad, literally calling people from the phone book, and asking for donations. I spent night after night, calling one person after the other. Although not very exciting or glamorous, I learned the importance of being discreet with information, and I learned some valuable communication skills that still serve me today, all these years later.
I first discovered Lake Norman in 2004, while visiting a family member who had purchased a second home. It was love at first sight and I knew I had to live in this wonderful place. Much like many others do when they first see Lake Norman, I promptly went back home to the Raleigh area, and made preparations to make the move to the Charlotte area. Of all the places I have called home, living at Lake Norman is the very best one!
Now that I have lived and worked at Lake Norman for more than a dozen years, I understand what makes our community and the people who call it home, so special. From the fun summer days on the lake to the magic of Christmas in Davidson; from the great shopping and dining at Birkdale Village, to the October Balloon Festival in Statesville; Lake Norman is a special place that I am proud to call home.
